Week 6: Technorati, Web 2.0, Library 2.0

I did not get much out of Technorati. They were experiencing high traffic and things would not load for me to look at. It looks like they are popular and they do have a lot of information and places to connect to. I wanted to watch the tutorial video, but it would not load in a timely fashion, so I gave up on them.

Web 2.0 is a great idea and I am glad we are doing this in our district.

From Library 2.0 I especially enjoyed the copyright youtube video with so many Disney movies. The future looks bright with creative commons projects like Universal Education Search and the CC Portal for Educators. The first says they are trying to find free things that would not require a log-in since educators don't have a lot of time. The second one says they are hoping to launch this summer.

From Library 2.0 I found an aritcle at Newsweek. I knew about MIT open courseware, but I did not know that Yale has open courseware (I am listening to a lecture on Langston Hughes right now).
